I am a sound designer, engineer and interactive technologist working in professional, educational and corporate environments for the last 10 years. After completing my BA Hons in Creative Music Technology with Digital Arts at the University of Hull, I moved to Brighton where I worked in a studio complex of a higher education college, as well as playing in bands and pursuing my own creative practice.
After moving to London in 2012, I began working at the Barbican Centre, managing all technical aspects of their Creative Learning department. I gained experience in project and production management, event co-ordination and artist liaison. I also worked in the Barbican Theatre, supervising productions and carrying out technical work in the sound and AV department.
Since 2015 I have been pursuing a freelance career, primarily in sound and interactive system design for contemporary and immersive theatre, live art installations and performances.
In 2017 I began working heavily with interactive technologies, collaborating with artists as a programmer using MAX/msp and Arduino platforms to create sound and video installations driven from real world inputs such as performers, machinery and elements of nature.
I also take on projects involving event production. live sound engineering, sound operation and broadcast recording.
I am always interested in working and collaborating with new people on exciting projects, so get in touch if you enjoy my work.
